New Project will begin in November!

In the fall, 2012, we will commence a new project in Acton.  Residents, businesses, communities of faith, professional contractors and vendors are all welcome to participate in this build.  We will be renovating a two-bedroom, two-story home into a three bedroom home.  Thanks to a grant from the Town of Acton, we are well on our way to funding the project.  We are also fortunate to be purchasing the building at a deep discount from local developer Steve Steinberg as part of a 40B development called Acton Meadows at 265 Great Road in Acton.

Next planning meeting is September 12, 2012, at 7 pm at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, 435 Central Ave, Acton.  Enter through back double panel glass doors and go left to the Blue Room.  All who are interested in getting this project off the ground are invited whether a resident of Acton or a neighboring town.  Please refer to the checklist before coming to the meeting to see if you know others who might help us keep the expenses of the build to a minimum by donating cash, services or materials to the project.  Bring the checklist to the meeting with you!

A Family Selection meeting for applicants interested in applying for this home and other Habitat homes in North Central Massachusetts will be held at:

St. Matthew's United Methodist Church, 435 Central Ave, Acton, MA, on  September 19th, 7-9 pm.
