Habitat for Humanity home dedication in Ashburnham
November 7, 2008The McSparren family will be home for the holidays in their new Habitat for Humanity house at 203 Sherbert Road in Ashburnham - a home they helped build. The building project will culminate with a dedication ceremony at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15.
"What a wonderful Thanksgiving the McSparren family will have in their new home," said Habitat Executive Director Megan Foley. "They worked hard alongside hundreds of volunteers to finish the house in time."
The Ashburnham house is the fourth home to be completed by HFHNCM in 2008. In August, the non-profit builder dedicated homes in Acton and Townsend, and another house was dedicated in Fitchburg in September.
"Not too long ago our Habitat for Humanity could only manage to build one home a year," said Foley. "Now we are finishing four homes with families in need and expect to build our capacity to six houses in the future."
